Hibiscus Pink Latte
A strong brew of delicious Hibiscus tea topped with warm, frothed, delicately cinnamon-spiced plant milk delivers soothing coziness and a refreshing lift at once!
Could you use a winter warmer that tastes of spring? Simply think: pink drink. On its own, Hibiscus tea offers a peaceful retreat, hot or cold. My favorite is Organic India’s Tulsi Hibiscus: you’ll surely be transported by the lightly floral, subtly tart, herbaceous notes dance with a hint of berries! In this beautifully blushing latte, we like to add just a splash of rose water and pure maple syrup, enhancing the natural fresh flavor while gently adding sweetness. Whisk in Ceylon Cinnamon and a half teaspoon of beetroot powder, and the foamy pink results are nothing short of enchanting!
Not only is this simple, rosy latte lovely, it’s loving, too. Your body will appreciate the support in allowing stress to drift away with every sip! Also referred to as “China-rose flowers”, hibiscus are rich in flavonoids, especially pigment-producing anthocyanidins, associated with a multitude of protective benefits, including supporting mood. Blended with potent adaptogen Tulsi, those benefits become even more robust. Also called Holy Basil, “Queen of Herbs” Tulsi has been used in India for more than 5,000 years to aid in stress relief, enhance mood, support a strong immune system, promote natural detoxification, and more.
I’m never one to underestimate the rewards of taking time for a restorative tea break, and this tea latte is exceptionally satisfying in just how pretty and powerful. Even the creamy, foamy topping is infused with extra wellness benefits. Ceylon Cinnamon—also known as True Cinnamon— adds not just warm spice comfort but 41 protective antioxidants helping to support healthy blood sugar metabolism. Beetroot powder is also a concentrated source of nutrients, including antioxidants like betalains, associated with lowered blood pressure and improved stamina.
Whether you’re longing for a lift on a cold, gray day, or celebrating the unfolding spring, this beauty of a beverage offers radiance and tranquility. If you don’t have beetroot powder but want to add some alluring, vibrant color, a little beet juice will do the trick as well. It only takes minutes to make time for magic and be restored.

Hibiscus Pink Tea Latte

A strong brew of delicious Hibiscus tea topped with warm, frothed, delicately cinnamon-spiced plant milk delivers soothing coziness and a refreshing lift at once.
Ingredients
- 2-3 Hibiscus Tea bags (I love Organic India Tulsi Hibiscus)
- ½ Cup freshly boiled water
- 1-2 Teaspoons maple syrup, or to taste, optional
- ¼ to ½ Teaspoon rose water, optional
- ¾ Cup unsweetened vanilla almond or other plant milk of choice
- ¼ Teaspoon Ceylon Cinnamon
- ½ Teaspoon beetroot powder
Instructions
- Steep the tea bags in the boiled water for 5-10 minutes.
- While the tea is steeping, warm the milk in a pan over low heat. Whisk in beetroot powder and cinnamon. When the milk reaches the desired temperature, you can whisk briskly or use a frother to make it foamy.
- Remove the tea bags from the steeped tea and stir in the syrup and rose water, if using. Pour into a serving mug and top with the frothed milk. Garnish if desired, serve, and enjoy!
