And so we’ve arrived…time to raise our glasses to a fresh, new year! It’s been a wild one, and we’re ready for flipping a page, albeit with some apprehension. What better way to set the tone for 2026 than by waking up feeling renewed? Good news, you can have your toasts and feel good, too, not just at midnight but the next morning and onward. Mocktails are merry and magical! And we don’t need to care about trend-setting, but they’re cool, too.
We’ve come a long way from Sirley Temples and glasses of cranberry juice with lonely lime wedges—not that those aren’t lovely. The "zero-proof" movement is golden, and it’s growing. In fact, consumer data from Gallup found that the percentage of U.S. adults who say they consume alcohol has fallen to a record low of 54% in 2025 (down from 62% in 2023), with the primary driver being health concerns. In contrast, non-alcoholic beverage options are broadening expansively and enticingly. According to NielsenIQ (NIQ), NA beer is the leading product in the broader non-alcohol category, accounting for 83% of NA sales. The spirits / RTD / mocktail segment is the smallest but fastest growing, with 70% growth between 2024 and 2025.
While choices are abundant for cheering in the new year with botanicals over a buzz, sometimes a drink deserves to get dressed up. A sprig of rosemary, a splash or tea, citrus slices, and whole fruit blends melded with sparkling water or kombucha add a sense of sophistication everyone can enjoy, with some honest wellness boosts, too.
